How to set a password timeout in Meridian
Setting the timeout
1. Initially you will start with your standard logged in Meridian as below
NOTE: The Blue door button at the top left of the window indicating you are logged in.
2. Go to View > Configuration Options
Alternatively you can press the F12 key on your keyboard
3. On the left of the window that opens select PGP Configuration. The subsequent window should appear as below
4. Next click on the Edit Key Ring button
5. In the PGP Key Manager window as below choose Edit > Preferences
6. Choose the General tab at the top of the window. The time set in this box is the time it will take when the program isn’t used to automatically log out
WARNING: Setting this time higher will reduce the security of your system.
If the log out time is set to low it may be annoying you so you can increase it so you don’t get logged out all the time
7. Click OK to exit each of the screens you have open to return to your main program window
