Installation and configuration of Word Plug-in and Capricorn software
Version 1.1
Overview:
Provide a procedure to install and configure Medical-Objects Word Plug-in and Capricorn software to send and receive electronic results.
Installation of Word Plug-in
NOTE: Before installing a Word Plug-in you will need:
- An installation of the Capricorn software already installed
Word Plug-in uses the Capricorn software to transmit the electronic messages
- You have a Medical-Objects Word Plug-in Token
- Make sure all instances of WINWORD.EXE processes are not working like shown below
As Word Plug-in requires the Word program; if it is running Word Plug-in will be unable to install
1. Download the latest Word Plug-in from Bleeding Edge
http://download.medical-objects.com.au/bleedingedge/MO-WP-Setup.exe
2. Click MO-WP-Setup.exe
3. Click on Save
4. The following Save As window will appear. Save the Setup.exe in the directory C:\MO
NOTE: If the directory does not exist, create it.
5. Once you have clicked Save, the following download screens will appear
6. Uncheck the [ ] Close this dialog box when download completes
7. After the Word Plug-in has been downloaded, click Run
8. At the Security Warning, click Run
9. Click Next
10. Use the default Path, Click Next
11. Click Install
12. Click Finish
13. Copy the Medical-Objects Token to your clip board and use the blue Paste Token link
This will auto fill in the Registration Token for you
14. Click Enter
15. Enter the requested Passphrase selected by the Specialist in lowercase. Complete the Passphrase in both sections
16. Click Next
17. Press random keys on the keyboard until the blue line reaches 100%
18. Click Next
19. Click Finish
20. Once you click Finish, the Word Plug-in tray icon will now be shown in the System Tray (Taskbar)
How to Configure the Word Plug-in
NOTE: If the Tray Icon is not shown, it can be opened from Start Menu > All Programs > Start up > Medical Objects Download Client
1. Click the Word Plug-in Tray Icon
2. Click Login
3. Enter the requested passphrase selected by the Practice in lowercase
The same passphrase used in the installation of Word Plug-in.
4. Click the Word Plug-in Tray Icon again
5. Select Configure
6. Select Report Defaults
7. Select a Default Sending Doctor for this site
8. Check the [ ] Logged in User is Author
9. Select Reports of Interest
10. Select each of the Report Areas for the type of Practice the site is related to
11. Click Apply
12. Click OK
Word Plug-in displayed in Word 2003, Word 2007
NOTE: The Word Plug-in feature also gives you an icon in Microsoft Word to send your letters.

2. In Word 2007 the interface will look like below. If you would like the Word Plug-in on the Quick Access Bar, just right click the Word Plug-in toolbar and select Add to Quick Access Bar in the menu
