Hardware and Software requirements
NOTE: Make sure you have your PKI iKey or Smartcard installed before you install the Medical-Objects Referral Client (Trinity). Otherwise the Trinity will not recognise your PKI.
IMPORTANT NOTE: PKI iKey and Smartcards are no longer required by law to send referrals. We do still recommend obtaining a key however it is not complusory in most cases. You may skip these steps if you do not have an iKey or Smartcard
1. Locate your iKey or Smartcard and follow the instructions specific to that key.
This can involve installing Drivers and Safe Sign software from the CD sent to you by Medicare
If you install drivers for the Rainbow iKey 2000 or 2032 series the machine will have to be restarted
If you install the GenPC drivers also install the SafeSign drivers
NOTE: If you do not have an Ikey or Smart Card you can apply for one at
http://hesa.gov.au/apply.htm
For keys other than the iKey 2000 series the key will have to be plugged in before you try to open Trinity. The key will be functioning correctly if you see a solid green light on its reader.
2. If your ikey or Smart Card was not supplied with drivers. You will be able to find the web site
