Medical-Objects Satellite System Installation
What is Satellite?
Medical-Objects Satellite is a collection of Medical-Objects programs all working together to facilitate advanced message creation with a wide range of customization options.
Requiring Satellite (a version of Medical-Objects Equator), Capricorn and Trinity Plus to operate, the satellite system can bring attachments, archetypes and patient history to your finger tips.
Overview: The procedure to install the Medical-Objects Satellite system follows.
Needed for Satellite system install:
* Capricorn Setup
* Satellite Setup
* Trinity Plus setup
Please Note: Capricorn and Satellite (Equator) must be installed on the same computer.
Install Procedure
1. install Capricorn with token supplied by Medical-Objects support and run Capricorn.
2. Run the Satellite installation
3. Do not run the equator after the Satellite install has finished
Please Note: The equatordxtray.db3 file is configured to work with the default equator installation path (C:\MO\Equator\). If you Install the equator to any other path you will need to use sql lite administrator (or another .db3 editor) to modify the paths to the new installation path.
4. In Capricorn Satellite EHR, activate satellite EHR and press "Setup Satellite Config" Browse to and select the Equatordxtray.db3 file in the equator directory.
5. Start Equator
6. In Equator PGP Configuration, set the default key as the key from the Capricorn if it is not done already. (This should be done by default by the program).
7. In Equator users and passwords add in the Capricorn with view all privileges if it is not done already. (This should be done by default by the program).
8. In Capricorn server setup Add the equator.
- Go into the Capricorn configuration.
- Click on Server Setup
- Click Add
- Select Add HTTP Server
- Name the server (eg. "Clinic name Satellite")
- Click next
- Enter the IP Address (this should always be 127.0.0.1)
- Click next
- Enter the port number (this should always be 2950)
- Click Test connection (you should get a server responded message. If you do not, check the IP address and port number)
- Click next
- Select pgp from the encryption drop down
- Select retrieve key (it should already be there, so this is a just in case)
- Click next
- Click Sign Key (found on the bottom right of the window)
- Click next
- Click next (There is no need to click upload key as the key will already be in the equator.
- On this screen "Server is Active" should be ticked
- Click next
- Click OK
9. Go to Demographic Source and select "Use HL7 Patient Demographic Source" and select the correct equator from the drop down list. (This should be the equator with the same name as the Capricorn).
Please Note: If the Equator does not appear, simply close the server properties and go back into it.
10. Go to the Satellite EHR section of Capricorn and select the correct equator from the drop down list. (Choose the equator with the same name that you just setup in step 9).
11. Restart Capricorn.
12. Go back into the Satellite EHR section of server properties and click on the test PID button. If you receive a "Patient not found" error then satellite is operational.
13. Go to Manage Queues in server properties. You will find one queue already in the list called SATELLITE. select this queue and press setup.
- Click Add
- Find and select the "Send to server using HTTP" Decorator
- In the Server name drop down list Select the correct equator that you wish to upload all archived Capricorn reports to. (This should be the equator with the same name as the Capricorn).
- Leave the send messages as radio button set to "Autodetect".
- Set the Validate ACK radio button to "Locally"
- Click Apply
- Click OK
- Then click Apply again.
14. Go to satellite EHR and click on export existing results. This will copy all results from the Archive in and out directories into the Satellite_Out directory for the Satellite queue to process and send to the equator.
Please note: Be careful with this button. It will tell you how many results are exported but it will not stop you from pressing the button again and getting duplicate messages uploaded into the equator.
15. Install Trinity Plus
The Satellite System is now installed and ready to use.
