Manual Argus Routing Record Creation
PLEASE NOTE: This walk-through is for advanced users only. Any programs that block email will stop the messages being sent to Argus clients.
Loading your site PKI Location Certificate
NOTE: You will need your HESA Medicare Location Certificate CD and Passphrase.
The PKI Location certificate can be obtained by ordering online at
http://www.hesa.gov.au/apply.htm
1. Click on the PKI Configuration
2. Select the Edit Keyring button. The PKI Key Manager window will open as shown below
3. Select the Import Certificate File button shown above
4. Once you click the button an Import Certificate search window will open
5. Make sure you select Files of Type to be Certificate and Private Key (*.p12)
6. Locate the Certificates and select one of the certificates and click Open
7. Once you have clicked Open you will be required to enter a Passphrase. The Passphrase should have accompanied the CD when delivered by HESA
8. Once you have completed the process from Steps 8-12 for the other certificate they will be displayed as follows
9. Select the signing certificate and choose the yellow key icon at the top of the window to set it as your default key.
10.Click OK to close the PKI Key Manager window
Creating the Routing Record
1. Enter your Capricorn settings and Navigate to "Servers to route to". Click on “Insert”. NOTE: When you create the record ensure you put (Argus) at the start of the name so they are easily found later for troubleshooting and updating.
2. Enter the details according to the practice name. The version will be number 1.
You will need to generate a new Universal ID. To do this right click on the field and choose Generate ID.
Ensure you set the Server Type to EMAIL.
3. No Connection info is needed as they don’t use the standard connections.
4. In Email Delivery set the required email address (Note: This email address should be known by the receiving practice so please call them to find out what it is. Do not guess an email address with the practice name in it, it will not work).
Next you need to set the Public Key to the receiving ends PKI. To do this click the “Select PKI Key” button. In the lookup find the practice it is better if you search by number but if you don’t have that search by name. Note as per the example below to find Condamine Medical Centre you would type “Centre cond” into the name search.
Set the rest of the screen as per the screen shot.
5. Add any Doctors to route to by choosing Insert --> Local XCN
In the sub-window Enter the provider number First and Surname and Prefix.
6. Start typing the name of the key in the field "Public Key Name" and select the key that you chose in step 4. Next change the Encryption Type to PKI. Finally select the "Refresh Key" button at the bottom of the screen.
7. Set the data format to HL& v2.3.1
8. X509 Keys are left blank
Addressing a message for sending
Any doctor you have added you will not be able to lookup using the standard lookup tool when sending. To send to the user you must press the downwards arrow beside the lookup magnifying glass and choose Add Doctor
You then enter the Doctors details for sending as per step 5.
