Troubleshooting MAC Capricorn
Capricorn is used for downloading specialist, pathology and radiology reports to your clinical software. The program is designed and setup to run automatically. Capricorn may cease to operate due to unknown circumstances.
Certain occurrences may have caused the software to stop running:
• PC or Server being reinstalled or replaced.
• Recent visit by your IT Technician.
• Software upgrades
• Internet connection problems.
• Firewalls
To restart the program so that you can receive any outstanding medical results or letters follow the instructions below
1. On the dock you should see a green or blue globe with an M in the middle of it. Click this icon.
2. This will load the Medical-Objects Capricorn window.
3. To start the Capricorn running Click on the Go icon.
4. The on screen log should now display data.
5. To Test and make sure that the Capricorn is online please click on the Admin button. This will display the Medical-Objects delivery report.
6. If you did not find the Capricorn Icon in the dock then please go to the applications menu. In the applications menu you should find the Medical-Objects Capricorn. Click this icon to load the Capricorn.
7. To start the Capricorn running Click on the Go icon.
8. The on screen log should now display data.
9. To Test and make sure that the Capricorn is online please click on the Admin button. This will display the Medical-Objects delivery report.
10. The delivery report will not display if the Capricorn is offline.
11. If the Medical-Objects Capricorn is already running and displayed on the screen, simply click Stop then Go. This will restart the Capricorn software.
